It's OK

I haven't done this link up {or any, for that matter} in quite awhile, but wanted to join in on the anniversary, since I did link up a year ago for the first!

Its Ok Thursdays

You can link up too with Neely and Amber. :)

So, It's OK ...

... to do the happy dance while singing "no more summer hours" this morning.

... to eat two breakfasts pretty much every day.

... to leave your kid alone for two seconds then find he's eaten paper. At least it was a Ruby Tuesday coupon, so maybe he just thought the burger looked good?

... to know you probably annoy the heck out of everyone by talking constantly about your kid, but when you're obsessed, you're obsessed.

... to have your boss offer to buy ice cream for the office this afternoon, and then proceed to eat two cookies at lunch. Yes, I am a fat kid.

... to be pulling clothes from the very back of your closet because you haven't done laundry other than the absolute essentials in about two weeks.

... to want to hire someone come in to clean your house because it's that bad.

... to constantly choose playing with your kid over cleaning.

... to say "that'll just make him tough" when your babysitter tells you how said child hit his head on the coffee table while pulling up.

... to be dreading August for the first time you can ever remember. It's been hotter than snot around here since May, I need some cooler weather!

... to agree to a freelance article when life is way too busy just because it includes your crush, Easton Corbin!

... to be extremely jittery for said interview to commence in about 10 minutes.

... to stop rambling.

Happy Thursday, my friends!

It's OK

Its Ok Thursdays

It has been one busy day! So it's totally OK to take a blogging break, right?

It's OK:

... to pump while blogging. TMI? Sorry, that's true life right now.

... to tell your hubby you'll pack his lunchbox if he'll get the baby dressed because you are feeling sickly.

... then you kiss said baby all over his adorable little face.

... to apologize to adorable baby when you are carrying him into daycare with a blanket over his face - because he's grunting and you just KNOW it's because he hates feeling like mommy is hiding that pretty little face.

... to have FOUR loads of laundry to be folded. And it only gets accomplished because the PAT coordinator is coming for a home visit.

... to have no idea where your debit card is, but feel relieved to check your bank account and find no suspicious activity. It's somewhere, right?

... to forget how old you are when people ask - answering that you are OLDER than you really are.

... to constantly show off pictures of your kid because you know everone else thinks you are obsessed  he is the cutest thing ever, too!

... to wonder if he really is an ugly babe and you are just blind to it.

... to sneak in late to work your third week back because you just can't roll out of bed in the morning.

... to laugh at your "baby" horse because he's no longer going to be "a man" after the weekend. Too much testosterone!

... to be scared to have another kid not so much because of the pian, lack of sleep and expense, but because you are terrified of being stuck in a house full of boys!

... to savor bath time every night because it's the only "me" time you get in the day.

... to consider keeping the office door closed five more minutes and take a little cat nap :)

It's OK

... to try and swipe your card in the gas tank of your car instead of the appropriate place on the pump.

... to cry approximately 165741 times a day.

... including when you tell your husband how stupid you felt trying to use your gas tank as a credit card machine, and he cracks up laughing.

... to be dying for an iced sugar cookie at 2 p.m.

... but not give in, and then want nothing for supper. So your hubby makes his world-famous PB&J and a protein shake for you.

... for your hubby to say he hopes his kid comes out with muscles, hence the protein shake.

... to have toothpaste on your shirt the day you have a Chamber of Commerce luncheon, and not realize until you are talking to someone at work and look down.

... to want to go to bed the minute you make it home from work, but know that you can't.

... to only be halfway joking when you ask your husband to bring a pre-mixed margarita (mmmm tequila) or shot of whiskey to the hospital to celebrate the birth of your child. Although you plan to breastfeed. #mommyoftheyear.

... to hope and pray your baby holds off until a certain date so childbirth doesn't get in the way of your haircut/color/eyebrow wax.

... to be excited yet terrified that a witty bitty baby is about to join your house.

... to complain you don't get near enough time to sleep and relax, less than four weeks before said baby is due.

... to spend $1,000 on an awesome DSLR camera and only use it in auto mode.

... to wear sandal-type heels when the forecast high for the day is in the 50s.

... and plan to wear them until you give birth, and not care what anyone says/thinks.

What's "OK" with you today?

Linking up again this week :)

It's OK

... to wear white pants after Labor Day. Yup, I wore mine yesterday, just to make a point! I think as long as you aren't super-summery (like wearing a light-colored shirt as well) it's totally fine to wear them until you need a jacket. I typically pair mine with a dark shirt or cardigan.

... to consider de-friending people on Facebook because they post Big Brother spoilers

... to curse your Internet for an hour because it's so slow you can't make a simple online purchase. Downside of living out in the country - only one crappy choice for Internet, and it costs 40 bucks a month :(

... to, instead of saving money for your babe, decide to blow money this weekend on a spray tan and mani/pedi. I have some important meetings next week that I want to look good for!

... to spend an hour outside playing with your dog when you have a million or so house projects to do.

... to have the morning sun streaming into your kitchen and see just how bad you need to dust the cabinets. I have a fall break in about a month during which my mom is going to help me tackle some pre-baby projects, so I think I'll put that on our list :)

HAPPY THURSDAY! One day closer to the weekend :)

Linking up again!

It's OK

... to think your hubby is a wuss for needing meds to fight his sinus infection when you did it totally natural a week ago. And think of the irony, considering you used to take meds at the first sign of a head cold.

... to love summer but be ready for highs in the 80s, not near 100, in September!

... to lock your dog in the garage all day (minus bathroom breaks) until he eats! Hank has probably lost 10 lbs and we aren't sure why, but we think there must be a dog within a five mile radius in heat! GRRRR!

... to be pissed that Big Brother won't come on until 1 a.m. tonight due to football. And even though you're exhausted, try to think of a way to wake up and watch it.

... to feel like you're awesome at life one week, only to feel like you such at it the next.

... to have weird pregnancy fears. Like a feeling someone is going to roll down their window and shoot you while you drive by. No joke. But then ride around with officers during a warrant roundup while 7 months pregnant and feel perfectly at ease.

... to get hamburger meat out of the freezer in the morning and figure out what to make with it when you get home from work.

... to not leave your office all day, then comment to yourself when walking outside how bright and warm it's gotten since 8 a.m. Ha!

... to be completely exhausted and wonder how you'll survive when waking up to a crying baby.

... to want to lie and tell everyone you know that you're going camping for the Labor Day weekend, then just hide out at home and do absolutely nothing.

Its Ok Thursdays

... to crack open a Coke at 8:30 a.m. Somedays, you need that extra jolt.

... when your husband laughs when he sees what you are wearing to work. Then you get defensive and ask if the dress looks too hoochie mama, and he just says that it's way shorter in front than in the back ... a problem he never envisioned you having!

... when the police chief in town asks if you've been stealing basketballs. Nope, just growing a human being!

... to stay in bed until almost 7 a.m. and then wonder why you are late to work.

... to laugh uncontrollably when Zingbot referred to Shelly on BB13 as a dude - when you've thought she might be a man the entire tim!

... to have frozen pizza for dinner at least one night a week.

... to accuse your dog of stinking up the basement after he's been inside for less than 10 minutes, only to discover the smell is about $10 of pork that you accidentally left sitting out by the deep freeze.

... to love said dog and treat him like he's one of your children. And then wonder how he'll react when a baby does come home in three short months. Yes, Hanky Poo loves kids, but those are visitors, and he doesn't like sharing mommy and daddy. When we had sweet BG dog, we could be petting both of them at the same time but he still got jealous!

... to wake up on Wednesday thinking it's Friday. And then be pretty disappointed by it.

... to tell your husband you are driving his truck to work until he fixes the air in your car or it cools down. And refuse to refill the gas tank :)

Head on over to Neely's blog to link up!

It's OK

Today I'm participating in a brand-new blog hop over here.

In the words of Neely, it's all about a place "where you can justify the weird, normal and awesome things you do cause ITS OK!"

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK if I closed my office door for five minutes and laid on the flood yesterday because my back was hurting that bad!

It's OK if people want to punch me in the face just because I say I'd still rather have all these 100 degree temperatures than ice and snow.

It's OK if I go to the bathroom once an hour because I gulp my water in the morning. Then drink practically nothing all afternoon because I think the water here is nasty.

It's OK that I sometimes throw the pretzels out of the Chex Mix. I mean, they're actually kind of gross. I don't know whose idea it was to include the nasty things anyhow!

It's OK if supper last night was a double serving of Special K with berries. Better than nothing.

It's OK that my fridge is full, but would be half empty if I got rid of all of the leftovers that have gone to waste.

It's OK to be a little scared when I buy newborn outfits. I mean, have you seen how tiny those things are? This is why I want to birth a 9 lb. baby.

It's OK to consider Pop Tarts a fruit serving since I've been too lazy to go to the store and get some actual fruit.

It's OK that I got about a third of the way through thank you cards the other night before quitting and then just looked at them while lounging on the couch watching TV last night. There's always the weekend.

It's OK that I want to smack some people in the face when they start clucking and telling me what a pregnant woman should/shouldn't do. Because it's my baby and as long as I'm not smoking, drinking, or doing anything the doctors warned me not to do, everything will be fine. And when he/she gets here, if I decide to cut the hair into a mohawk and dye it blue, oh well. Because it's my kid!!!

This was really fun! You guys should all join in :)
