Baking woman

I love to bake/make sweets. Especially at Christmas time. I make platters and deliver to a lot of friends and business associates this time of year. Most every night I'll make something.
Last night's creation was toffee. Yummy, and SOOOO easy. Here's the recipe:

What you’ll need:
- 1.5 sleeves of saltines or half a box of Cheez-Its
Two sticks unsalted butter
One cup packed light brown sugar
1.5 to 2 bags of chocolate chips
0.5 to 1 cup chopped nuts

How to make it:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Line a sprayed jelly roll pan with crackers
Meanwhile, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer two to three minutes
Spread toffee over crackers, filling all holes
Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until bubbly. Remove and turn off oven. Let cool a couple minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Then, put in oven for 2 to 3 minutes or until chips begin to melt. Use a spatula or other utensil to evenly spread, like icing on a cake.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Let cool (at room temperature or in refrigerator) and then break into pieces.
ENJOY!
